High speed railways demand a very high level of safety from the system and its components. For the design of the NBU System the following criteria were strictly observed:
- Adherence to the requirements of the Specification of Prof. Dr. Josef Eisenmann, Technical University Munich
- Development of a robust rail system
- High precision in mounting of the rail track
- Maintenance of a high level of general safety in the event of a single component failure
The development of the NBU System has led to the development of several different types of construction, which are applicable to tracks on the ground, in tunnels and on bridges.
